The 2010 WCC Golf Coach of the<br />
Year Tim Mickelson will enter the<br />
2010-11 campaign as the head<br />
coach of the USD men’s golf pro-<br />
gram for the eighth season. In ad-<br />
dition to advancing to the NCAA<br />
Nationals for the past two sea-<br />
sons, including the school’s first<br />
ever appearance in 2009 and an<br />
8th overall finish in 2010, Mickel-<br />
son has guided the program to the NCAA Regionals in three straight<br />
seasons and four of the last five seasons. The Toreros even vaulted<br />
their national ranking to as high as #25 entering the 2010 NCAA Na-<br />
tional Championships.<br />
The 2009-10 campaign was record-setting for the Toreros as USD<br />
captured a school-best five tournaments and finished in the top-5 in<br />
10 of their 13 events. The fall season was highlighted by the team’s<br />
