Financial Assistance for<br />
GRADUATE STUDENTS<br />
The Financial Aid Office assists graduate students who desire a greater understanding of the<br />
financial aid process. A variety of financial aid is available for UT graduate students.<br />
Graduate students taking 8 credit hours or more of graduate work during a semester are considered<br />
full time. Students taking 4 credit hours during a semester are considered half time. To be eligible<br />
for federal financial aid, students should enroll for a minimum of 4 credit hours per semester.<br />
HOW TO APPLY<br />
1. Complete the FAFSA<br />
The Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) determines eligibility for all need-based aid programs.<br />
Most aid programs are available only to U.S. citizens, permanent residents and full-time students. Apply<br />
online at www.fafsa.gov.<br />
