NEW YORK—New York state-licensed<br />
CPAs will have more than a year to meet<br />
the state's new competency standards,<br />
required by a new state law that went into<br />
effect July 26, as a result of revised emer-<br />
gency regulations that the state Board of<br />
Regents unanimously adopted at its Oct. 19<br />
meeting.<br />
The new law requires, among other<br />
