THE GORI HISTORY<br />
Executive Summary<br />
The story about GORI began in 1902, when<br />
Wilhelm O. Ehrenskjöld, who was responsible for<br />
the security at Kolding Harbour, had noticed how<br />
– despite careful maintenance with tar and pitch<br />
– bulwark, cranes and other bollard constructions<br />
were decaying from the inside in such a manner that<br />
seemingly healthy would suddenly collapse.<br />
He carried out experiments in order to obtain a more<br />
effective form of wood protection and the result of his<br />
experiments was GORIOL WOOD Oil.<br />
During the 1930’s GORI’s relatively small<br />
development and quiet daily life was very similar to<br />
