NIACC Softball Team Collects Over 700 Pounds of<br />
Clothing for Haitian Earthquake Victims<br />
North Iowa Area Community College softball<br />
players collected over 700 pounds of clothing<br />
donations for their Haitian Earthquake Clothing<br />
Drive to support victims of the devastating<br />
earthquake in Haiti.<br />
Just after NIACC students returned for the<br />
spring semester, members of the NIACC softball<br />
team were talking about the earthquake<br />
tragedy in Haiti. “We wanted to do something<br />
that could make a big difference,” said Alicia<br />
Martin, NIACC softball team member. To<br />
promote their project, the team sent out a<br />
campus-wide notice about the clothing drive.<br />
