Dear Readers,
It is with great pride that we introduce the Title V I-CARE Grant
Undergraduate Research Report for the 2016-2017 academic year!
One of the objectives of the grant is to increase the number of faculty
who redesign their courses to incorporate undergraduate research
in the curriculum. To accomplish this objective, we hold an annual
Undergraduate Research Course Redesign Competition where faculty
are invited and encourage to participate. Through this initiative, 5
faculty have redesigned their courses, and approximately 158 students
have participated in class-based research! What an accomplishment!
Inside, you will read about five projects that were implemented this
