Dear Readers,<br />
It is with great pride that we introduce the Title V I-CARE Grant<br />
Undergraduate Research Report for the 2016-2017 academic year!<br />
One of the objectives of the grant is to increase the number of faculty<br />
who redesign their courses to incorporate undergraduate research<br />
in the curriculum. To accomplish this objective, we hold an annual<br />
Undergraduate Research Course Redesign Competition where faculty<br />
are invited and encourage to participate. Through this initiative, 5<br />
faculty have redesigned their courses, and approximately 158 students<br />
have participated in class-based research! What an accomplishment!<br />
Inside, you will read about five projects that were implemented this<br />
