Help us change lives‘There is now a global urgency to develop the right response to
safeguard future generations’

The world’s population is predicted to reach nine
billion by 2050, yet global agricultural food output will
fall by 16 per cent. The increasing strains on food,
energy, water, soil and biodiversity will force cities
and their regions around the world to re-assess their
existing consumption patterns.

What can we do to build a sustainable way of life for
future generations?

Cardiff University is committed to answering this question and to tackling this issue in a radical way by bringing together world-leading specialist researchers from across the disciplinary boundaries in a unique way to form a new,
pioneering University Research Institute.
