New life springs up!
“Eternally grateful”
You helped Tina find her worth at Star of Hope
F
rom her earliest years, Tina felt unwanted and
unworthy. Her mother was an alcoholic, and
her adoptive parents divorced when she was
only six. She bottled up her feelings, becoming
disruptive in school and disobedient at home. By
age 15, she was living in a juvenile detention center.
Despite the chaos in her life, Tina finished high
school. Not long after graduation, she gave birth to
a daughter, who she placed for adoption. Hoping for
some structure and stability, Tina joined the Army.
Here, she met her first husband, a minister, and had
two daughters with him. Sadly, the marriage did not
last and Tina’s life took a downward spiral.
