Turalay Kenç, deputy governor
at the Central Bank of the
Republic of Turkey, who
delivered the opening address
at the National Asset-Liability
Management conference in
Istanbul, began by discussing
the “decoupling” of the
advanced economies and
emerging economies during the
financial crisis.
Kenç demonstrated the
healthy debt-to-GDP ratio and
strong balance sheets in Turkey,

similar data.
