Minor in Women, Gender and Sexuality Studies<br />
The Minor in Women, Gender and Sexuality<br />
Studies is an interdisciplinary course of study that<br />
incorporates a broad range of liberal arts activities<br />
– reading, writing, thinking and discussion –<br />
in order to teach a fuller understanding of the lives<br />
of women and their historical and cultural impact.<br />
Students in the program seek to explore the ways<br />
that women are affected by factors such as race,<br />
class, religion, age, sexual orientation, region,<br />
historical period, cultural contexts, political and<br />
economic structures and social systems.<br />
The curriculum celebrates diversity through<br />
comparative studies of world perspectives.<br />
