Senate Passes `Officer Candidate School'<br />
CPA Mobility Bill<br />

NEW YORK—The New York State Senate<br />
unanimously passed a bill, 59-0, on June 7<br />
that would allow for CPA cross-border<br />
practice mobility in New York for out-of-<br />
state CPAs. The bill, S6307-B, is based on<br />
the model legislation, Uniform<br />
Accountancy Act (UAA) Section 23, which<br />
seeks to create a uniformity of licensing<br />
standards for CPAs across the United<br />
States.<br />
