Digital automation is transforming TxDOT<br />

E very day, TxDOT teams make thousands of decisions —<br />
from design details to incident response — that directly<br />
affect safety on our roads. Today, we stand at a defining<br />
moment. By leveraging digital automation in our work, we can<br />
design, build, and maintain our roads with greater accuracy,<br />
spot issues earlier and deliver safer, more reliable mobility for<br />
Texans. Importantly, we can accomplish all this while making<br />
our work more efficient.<br />
One of the biggest improvements is our move from 2D paper<br />
plans to digital delivery, allowing us to work in 3D environments<br />
that provide more detail and fewer surprises in the f ield. These<br />
digital designs let us create “digital twins” of our roads and<br />
