residence by investment?<br />
Citizenship and residence by invest-<br />
ment is the process of achieving the<br />
right to either reside in or become a<br />
citizen of a country usually by making<br />
a substantial investment and commit-<br />
ment to that country. It has also<br />
become a viable and attractive way for<br />
countries to raise capital and attract<br />
wealthy and talented individuals. We<br />
are all familiar with low tax being used<br />
as a tool to attract businesses and<br />
investors, but now citizenship and<br />
residence are other tools for countries<br />
in the global competition for talent.<br />
