Dear Proud Penn Parents,
W hen I walk down Locust Walk, I am
always invigorated to see students
rushing to class, posting flyers for
one of Penn’s many student organizations,
playing music and laughing with friends. It is
a bustling hub of campus life, a crossroads
where the diverse interests and backgrounds
of our community converge.
For Sophie Beren, a junior studying
communications and non-profit leadership,
every stroll down Locust Walk is an opportu-
nity to have a conversation, to learn something
new, to make a connection with someone she’s
never met before. That’s why she made a
