Friends: Sensitive to Change!

One of the defining traits of a Friends volunteer is some-
one whose abilities and commitment to the Kennedy
Center demonstrate why the program works so well.
I also believe another trait that reflects so well on the
Friends - and the main reason why I love managing this pro-
gram - is your openness and enthusiasm for moving ahead,
and continually developing and evolving. When I recently
came across the Willie Stargell quote “Life is one big transi-
tion” (in the context of addressing leadership on a volunteer
management training website), I immediately thought that
