Introduction<br />
Given the often complex, frequently high value nature of business in the Energy<br />
and Natural Resources sector, it is inevitable that disputes will arise, and that the<br />
law will develop apace. In that context, it is imperative that lawyers in the sector are<br />
not only up to speed with the latest developments, but also have an insight into<br />
the contentious issues experienced by others in order that those problems can be<br />
anticipated and hopefully avoided.<br />
In this update we draw together relevant themes emerging from recent cases which provide insight as to:<br />
