Shortly after my appointment as TARDEC Director
five years ago, the Department of Defense challenged us
to make this organization a center of technological excel-
lence for the ground vehicle community. I knew from the
first day that no one person or organization could do it
alone. Excellence for our organization and success for our
warfighters mean it’s absolutely essential to partner, col-
laborate and align resources.
