Working as a Vehicle Enterprise<br />
Shortly after my appointment as TARDEC Director<br />
five years ago, the Department of Defense challenged us<br />
to make this organization a center of technological excel-<br />
lence for the ground vehicle community. I knew from the<br />
first day that no one person or organization could do it<br />
alone. Excellence for our organization and success for our<br />
warfighters mean it’s absolutely essential to partner, col-<br />
laborate and align resources.<br />
Partners are indispensible in achieving the true inte-<br />
gration of people, processes and products necessary to<br />
deliver great capabilities. Integration is embedded into<br />
