Welcome to the 10th annual NCWE Awards,<br />
designed to recognise and reward good<br />
practice amongst employers in respect of the<br />
work experience and internship opportunities<br />
they offer to students and graduates.<br />
Once again we have been astounded by the level of interest in the NCWE<br />
Awards, with entries made from companies of every size and from wide-<br />
ranging sectors throughout the UK. The emphasis on work experience and<br />
graduate internships has never been more prevalent than in the last few<br />
years and there is no doubt that employers increasingly value work<br />
experience in terms of the business benefits to their company and the<br />
personal and academic development of the student or graduate.<br />
Industry research consistently reports that around 40% of graduate<br />
vacancies available from employers were filled by applicants who had already<br />
