High school is mandatory and free. college is voluntary and expensive.
In high school, your time is structured by others. In college, YOU decide how to spend your time.
Parents are often involved in high school (talking to your teachers or knowing your grades), but in college,
fERPA protects your rights. It’s your responsibility to communicate information to your parents.
In high school, classes are back-to-back. In college, you could have hours separating your classes.
