Welcome to SCP Auctions & Sotheby's Inaugural Internet Auction.<br />
Over the last two years SCP Auctions & Sotheby's have produced<br />
three highly successful live auction events, including selling some<br />
of the most historically significant sports artifacts ever to reach<br />
“the block.” SCP Auctions & Sotheby's were privileged to sell the<br />
bat that Babe Ruth used to hit the very first home run at Yankee<br />
Stadium on its Grand Opening Day in 1923 for $1,265,000, a record<br />
for a bat and only the third piece of sports memorabilia to ever<br />
reach the million dollar level. We then sold the most important<br />
document in sports history -- the contract selling Babe Ruth from<br />
