PIN, THE PRESIDENT'S INNOVATION NETWORK.
President Bassis recognized that new programs and ideas
would often fail to get the support they needed if they had
to compete for support in the kind of zero-sum game that relatively
static departmental budgets create. If, however, he had access to funds
that were outside the normal tensions of the budgetary process, he
could support the development of creative approaches to enriching
the educational experience Westminster offers.
