When I served as a faculty member, and then dean, of www.ut.edu/utjournal<br />
UT’s College of Business in the 1980s, one of our research<br />
areas focused on why companies often failed in their efforts to<br />
expand globally.<br />
We found time and time again that companies failed in<br />
their global initiatives because their employees largely did not<br />
