Sociology<br />
Sociologists study the effects of social class, race, gender and power on different aspects of society, including cultural<br />
activities, moral beliefs and the health of individuals and families. Applied sociology students learn to think scientifically about<br />
societies and human behavior, and gain skills leading to a variety of career paths. Above, students from UT’s Sociology Club<br />
donate school supplies to the outreach coordinator of the Guardian Ad Litem Program of Hillsborough County, whose volunteers<br />
serve as advocates for children in the court system.<br />
