New Program Focuses on the Health<br />
and Welfare of Companion Parrots<br />
Parrots are very popular companion animals. Because of their highly social and<br />
intelligent nature, they form close and affectionate bonds with people. Recognizing<br />
the devotion of their owners and the specialized care needs of parrots, the school has<br />
established the Parrot Wellness and Welfare Program.<br />
Providing Exceptional Care for Parrots<br />
This innovative program takes a comprehensive approach to provide exceptional<br />
care for parrot companions. Services encompass the areas of preventive health, pain<br />
prevention and management, pediatric and geriatric care, nutrition, behavior and<br />
environmental enrichment.<br />
