Choosing to become a Mountaineer student-athlete is<br />
special. Without a professional sports team in the state,<br />
folks across the state and throughout the region love West<br />
Virginia athletes.<br />
Mountaineers have the unique opportunity to represent<br />
themselves, their teammates and their university to news,<br />
media, alumni, friends, family and the general public. Your<br />
interaction with these groups is also part of your educational<br />
process.<br />
If you take advantage of these opportunities, it can have a<br />
positive effect, not only on your career as a student-athlete<br />
at West Virginia, but also on your life after you have donned<br />
