involved in M&A activity within their respective
firms—to measure their experiences and outlook on
mergers and acquisitions in the coming year.

M&A Optimism Drops After High-Flying 2018
Thirty-three percent of respondents to Dykema’s 15th
annual M&A Outlook Survey are bullish about deal-making
in the U.S. over the next 12 months. That’s down from 65
percent in 2018, which reflected jubilation in the wake of
the Tax Cuts and Jobs Act passed in late 2017.
