hen there are economic or geopolitical troubles<br />
around the world, gold shines as an attractive<br />
investment. People worried about rising<br />
inflation, falls in the bond and equity markets or a<br />
collapse in the real value of a paper currency, tend to<br />
flock to gold as a 'safe haven' asset. This is reflected by a<br />
109% rise the gold price since the credit crunch of 2008<br />
triggered a downturn in the global economy.<br />
The outlook for the gold price remains bullish while<br />
major economies stay depressed or, in the case of<br />
China and India, risk getting ahead of themselves.<br />
