On the cover: Oakland University officially opened its new Human<br />
Health Building in fall 2012. The facility consolidates the School of<br />
Nursing and the School of Health Sciences under one roof, bringing<br />
together the multidisciplinary talent and expertise of the institution’s<br />
renowned academic and clinical faculty. Designed to foster cross-<br />
discipline research collaboration and provide innovative learning<br />
opportunities, the facility responds to Oakland University’s mission of<br />
advancing knowledge.<br />
The 172,000-square-foot Human Health Building is designed to be<br />
energy efficient and sustainable, utilizes advanced green technology and<br />
is the first higher education building in Michigan to be certified as LEED<br />
Platinum. The facility features a large auditorium, nine classrooms, a full<br />
