Is your fuel handling system bonded and grounded?<br />
Diesel fuel has dramatically changed in<br />
recent years. That means your fuel stor-<br />
age and delivery system may also need to<br />
change. Today’s diesel is Ultra Low Sulfur<br />
Diesel (ULSD). By reducing the sulfur con-<br />
tent, diesel engines can burn cleaner, with<br />
fewer emissions. But ULSD is also more<br />
likely to hold a static electric charge. Static<br />
charges can build up while ULSD is flowing<br />
through fuel delivery systems. If combus-<br />
tible vapors are present, a static electric<br />
spark could result in a fire or explosion.<br />
