the 249th ACS National
Meeting. It is my pleasure
to join all of you in the Mile
High City, one of the most
breathtaking venues for our
meetings.
Yesterday I kicked off
the first half of one of my
Presidential Symposia,
‘Nanotechnology: Delivering
on the Promise.’ It continues all day today in the Colo-
rado Convention Center, Ballroom 3A. I hope you find
time today to join and hear from these extraordinary
speakers that span industry, government and academia.
Following on the theme of nanotechnology, I hope you
can join me tomorrow morning for another half day
presidential symposium. DOE Nanoscience Research
Centers: National Resources for the Nanoscience Com-
munity will feature the five heads of chemistry at U.S.
