Normally I look forward to writing<br />
the president’s message for the front of<br />
each issue of the Review. Even though<br />
I suspect people don’t read it until<br />
after they have finished looking at the<br />
alumni notes or faculty news, it is still<br />
an opportunity for me to talk about<br />
new things the college is doing or dis-<br />
cuss the way technology is transform-<br />
ing higher education or even com-<br />
ment on some overlooked provision<br />
in the strategic plan. It is, in short, a<br />
place to point to the changes we have<br />
made, the progress we have achieved,<br />
and the plans we are developing to<br />
continue to improve the educational<br />
experience Westminster provides to<br />
