Letter from the President<br />
Dear Readers,<br />
This summer the nation marked the 50th anniversary of the lunar landing—a<br />
remarkable moment in American history that continues to inspire<br />
generations to strive for excellence and achieve greatness.<br />
It is big, bold ideas like sending man to the moon that propel us all forward<br />
toward a new and previously unimaginable future.<br />
Those are the types of ideas I believe will set Texas A&M University-Kingsville<br />
on a strong path of innovation, service and opportunity to continue to<br />
transform the lives of our students and the future of Texas.<br />
I have spent much of this year getting to know our campus, students, faculty,<br />
staff, alumni and supporters around the state and have been inspired by their<br />
unity of purpose—ensuring a bright and prosperous future for our students<br />
