Whenever I speak to parents of<br />
prospective students, the issue of<br />
affordability inevitably arises. Spikes<br />
in tuition, fees and housing costs at<br />
nearly every college and university in<br />
the country, coupled with cuts in aid<br />
from the federal and state governments,<br />
have many understandably worried<br />
about how they will be able to pay.<br />
At the same time, we read the results<br />
of numerous studies that confirm the<br />
importance of college education in<br />
terms of employment and earning<br />
