As 2012 comes to a close, it is time we reflect on all of the amazing accomplishments the Sur-<br />
frider Foundation had this past year. At press time, we had a total of 37 coastal victories cover-<br />
ing all facets of the organization – Clean Water, Rise Above Plastics, Beach Access, Coastal<br />
Preservation and Surf Protection. It is something we as an organization should be proud of.<br />
While we know that these victories mean we’re one step closer to meeting our organizational<br />
vision of “healthy coastlines,” it means a whole lot more. As we begin a new year, let’s think<br />
about all the people who that get to enjoy the ocean. How they get to feel the cool spray of a<br />
wave on their face on a sweltering summer day; how they can run and jump and play in the<br />
