We let our students—yes, even freshmen—use the<br />
really sensitive instruments. Our students build<br />
concrete canoes, fly planes, pie professors for<br />
charity, and design electric cars, mini baja vehicles,<br />
rockets and Rubik's Cube-solving robots.<br />
We have a botanical garden we call “The Jungle,”the largest research-<br />
grade telescope in Florida, and a top ten nationally ranked surfing team.<br />
Our graduates are offered jobs at an alarmingly high rate (yes, even during<br />
recessions) and we are home to a really, really popular ice hockey club (it's true).<br />
We've also been noticed by some publications you might be aware of<br />
(see opposite page).<br />
