MANAGING
PLANTAR
FASCIITIS
POWERING MOTION™
WHAT IS
PLANTAR
FASCIITIS?
Plantar fasciitis is a common type of heel pain among active adults1. It develops when
your plantar fascia – the thick band of tissue that runs lengthwise across the bottom
of your foot, connecting your heel to your toes – becomes inflamed and painful.
Usually, you’ll feel a sharp, stabbing pain at the bottom of your foot that occurs
mostly in the morning.2
Plantar fasciitis is common among runners, those who are overweight and people
who wear unsupportive footwear.3
If you’re experiencing heel pain, especially after sports, you may want to check
with your doctor to see if it could be plantar fasciitis.
